The conclusion, with the spectacular Serenata in re maggiore op. 8, a florilegium of short pieces of studied expressivity, by no means superficial, which one could also perceive from the tightness of the score, was brilliant and received enthusiastic applause. The Triodellarco gave proof of great ability, both technical (with the frequent virtuoso passages) and expressive, in the more lyrical parts, at times full of poignant romantic sentiment.
